William M.(Bill) Flowers passed away Sunday, June 16, 2024 at the Inn at Summit Trail, Reynoldsburg, Ohio.
Born February 4, 1931, in Cortland, Ohio, son of Herbert and Grace (Barto) Flowers.He was a 1949 graduate of Cortland (Lakeview) Ohio high school. Following graduation, Bill proudly served his country in the U.S.Navy, He was awarded the U.S. Defense Medal, United Nations Service Ribbon, and the Korean Service Medal.
On September 6, 1958, Bill married the former Edna King. He began employment at Western Electric (AT&T) from where he retired. Bill and Edna settled in Paskatala, Ohio where they built their own home and raised two daughters, Irene and Diane.
Bill loved ballroom dancing and classical music. He loved all things of nature, and advocated for the preservation of natural resources.
Bill lived his life as a confirmed, devout atheist. However, during a visit with his cousin, William Flowers prayed and accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior at the age of 90. From that
