Stephen M. Cranston

Stephen M. Cranston passed away Sunday, June 30, 2024 at the Pickering House in Lancaster, Ohio at the age of 71. Born in 1953 in Boston, Massachusetts, he was a graduate of Foxboro High School in 1971, where he was a three-year starter on the football team, was selected as captain for the All Hockomock League All-Star team, as well as the Sun Chronical and Patriot Ledger. Steve served 21 years in the U. S. Army, reaching the rank of Sgt. 1st class. Despite being stationed around the country and overseas, he maintained his love for the New England Patriots, a love that he passed on to his children. He loved music of all kinds, and the family will always fondly remember the words of Warren Zevon, one of his favorites. After retiring from the army, Stephen worked to help Veterans at both the Wyandot County Veterans Service and the Chalmers P. Wylie VA before fully retiring. He is preceded in death by his father, Kenneth C. Cranston Sr. of Van Nyes, CA and his mother, Lorraine K. Cransto
