Mary Nanetta Marcum, age 80, of Canal Winchester, Ohio, died in her home, surrounded by loved ones, on Monday, August 5, 2024. Mary, who was affectionately called Nanny by her family, was a faith-filled woman of God and a blessing to those fortunate enough to know her. She made many new friends in recent years and will be greatly missed by them all.
Nanny was born to William "Albert" and Margie Atkins on December 12, 1943 in Point Pleasant, West Virginia. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Debra Atkinson, and her brothers, William and Clyde Adkins. Nanny is survived by her brothers Steve and Allen Atkins. Although she never gave birth to her own children, Nanny embodied a mother's heart and was an immensely caring matriarch to our family, including her siblings, nieces, nephews, many great-nieces and nephews and their children as well. We will all forever cherish the tremendous impact and influence she had on each of our lives. Her legacy is far reach
