James (Jim, Jimmy, Pops) Newell01/25/1965 to 8/18/2024James Dean Newell, from Thornville, Ohio, has passed away peacefully at his residence with his devoted family by his side. He leaves behind his father James L. Newell, his mother Amanda (Sandy), his sister Kelly, his brother-in-law Jeff Lasko, his brother Larry Newell, and numerous nieces and nephews. His legacy and passion for nature will be upheld by his wife, Bobbi; his son, Levi Slagle; his bonus daughter, Katelyn; his daughter, Kyra Wilson; his bonus son, Cody Wilson; and his grandsons, Kohen Wrangler and Stetson James. In Jim’s final days, it was his loving wife and devoted daughter that cared for him with much love and patience. A Millersport High School alumnus, class of 1983, Jim served in the Army straight out of school.
