Lancaster Jon Mark Gillespie, age 69 of Lancaster, passed away on March 6, 2025 at his residence. He was born in Athens, Ohio on June 1, 1955 to the late Robert D. and Sandy L. (Sanders) Gillespie. Upon graduation from Glouster High School, Mark proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. He earned his Bachelor's degree from Adrian College, and previously owned and operated several restaurants. Mark worked at Southeastern Correctional Institution for many years. He was a devoted father and grandfather.Mark is survived by his sons, Sean Gillespie, Hayden (Amanda) Gillespie, and Tucker (Haley) Gillespie; grandchildren, Marley Lehman, Kolston, Lydia, Laiden, and Adrianna Gillespie; half-sister, Kris Gillespie; and several nieces and nephews.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, James Brent Gillespie and step-mother, Joyce Gillespie.In honoring Mark's wishes, cremation is in the care of Sheridan Funeral Home.Memorial contributions may be made to Trimble Ath
