Thomas Bernard Zapf,82, passed away on March 10, 2025, in Canal Winchester, Ohio, surrounded by loved ones. Born on November 19, 1942, to the late Edward and Virgina (Emmel) Zapf in Rochester, New York. Tom was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend who lived a life full of kindness, humor, and service.
Tom graduated from Lyndonville High School and went on to earn a degree from Notre Dame University, where his love for his alma mater ran deep. He could often be found cheering passionately for Notre Dame, especially when watching any sport with a ball. Though his heart belonged to Notre Dame, he was also a devoted fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes. Tom proudly served as a Lieutenant in the United States Navy, a role that exemplified his dedication and service. After Tom served in the United States Navy he then worked in sales for many years before retiring from customer service at the United States Defense Finance and Accounting Service.
