Nellie Ruth Morgan, 96, of Mount Vernon, OH, formerly of Lancaster, OH entered into the arms of Jesus on March 28, 2025 surrounded by her family. She was born March 7, 1929 in Perry County, Ohio to the late Ivan and Dora (Householder) Howdyshell.
Nellie served in various church ministries in the Lancaster Church of the Nazarene in Lancaster, OH. She also served with her husband, Robert, as directors of the Friendly Sixties at Faith Memorial Church, Lancaster and ministering to residents of nursing homes in the Lancaster area.
She is survived by her son, Larry (Pamela) Morgan; daughter, Connie (Leroy) Flowers; 4 grandchildren, Dr. Michelle (Randy) Banks of Worthington, Matthew (Jessica) Morgan of Fort Smith, AR, Adam (Cortney) Flowers of Pendleton, IN and Seth Flowers of Mount Vernon, OH; 9 great-grandchildren; five great-great; sister, Wanda Grimm of Lancaster, OH; many nieces and nephews; and family friend, Anita DeWees.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 72 years, Robert G.
